Ms. Leonie Baptiste has been involved in research and research related activities since her enrolment as a student at DivineWordUniversity in Madang, PNG.
She got a Diploma in ARTS (PNG STUDIES) at the DIVINEWORDUNIVERSITY in MADANG, PNGin 2004 and a Degree in ARTS (PNG STUDIES) at the same university in 2007.
Her research experience includes surveys, feasibility studies, and evaluations. She has participated in two HIV/AIDS research activities. The first involved peer education and training, while the second was focused on research into perceptions towards PLWHA. The quality of her research activities was recognised by an award received from VSO in 2006 for Excellence in Research Projects and Community Service. In addition to being an adept researcher,
Leonie has also a number of years experience as a successful administrator. She is an able communicator and works well with people. She is reliable, consistent, and proactive in identifying and addressing potential problems or challenges.
Since becoming the Divine Word University Research/Project Officer to the office of the President in April, 2007 Leonie has submitted five projects, three of which have been successful to date.
Leonie is a very ambitious young woman who hopes to one day be counted amongst the worlds greatest social researchers; finding out things, initiating changes that will help make the World a better place.
