Dr Abiola L Thompson Tilley-Gyado

 

Dr Abiola L. Thompson Tilley-Gyado is a public health physician with over 30 years hands on experience formulating, coordinating and managing International Development policies and programmes in the Health sector. Abiola’s areas of interest and expertise include programming, advocacy and relationships management for Sexual and Reproductive Health (particularly Maternal and Child Health, HIV and AIDS). Other special areas of interest include Social Protection and intergenerational approach to Ageing and capacity building for delivering social policy change.

 

Abiola has served on the board of various establishments and having worked at various levels of Government and the NGO sector, she has a deep understanding of national and international dynamics that influence Government policy and deliver national health and social programmes for responsive community-centred development. Abiola has authored or co-authored a number of publications including ‘Putting it Into Practice-Programme Management Guidelines for health staff’; ‘Refocusing Integrating HIV and AIDS Strategies’. Abiola coordinated the development of ‘Children in Africa- A Strategic framework for Africa.’
