Scarlett Epstein was nominated to attend the UK “Women of the Year Lunch” in
recognition of her remarkable achievementsin her field of specialisation; i.e. the role of rural women in
development

PEGSmajor achievement is the emphasis we place on networking which ensures the sustainability of our
developmental ventures.
Where-ever PEGS is involved in developmental
activities we not only work in close collaboration with the local population
and their Local Government Authorities but we also try to establish goodworking relationships with relevant
a) politicians, such as e.g.the PNG Minister for Community Development
b) media people, such as e.g. the Editor of
one of the PNG major newspapers
c) business enterprises, such as e.g. the
PNG Mining Corporations Council
d) PNG Non-Government Organisations.

In 2006 PEGS
completed an independent evaluation of the CBA’s medical journalism training
programme that took place in three locations in Africa
in 2005.
