Gareth Davies has over 30 years of experience of joint planning and implementation of aid programmes, particularly involving community managed provision of “basic services”, access to improved income-generating opportunities and for poverty reduction among remote, marginalised, Traditional People and Ethnic Minority communities in rural and slums environments in Latin America, South and Southern East Asia and in Africa.
Enabling women’s groups to access betterincomes through appropriate training and support, and to benefit form essential services part of these assignments. He has worked community-centred development projects for the United Nations, international NGOs and for theEC.
Additionally, he is familiar with EC project cycle management methods and has organised and given practical PCM training courses to national government officials, staff of local NGOS and colleagues. He works in French and Spanish as well as English.
